Correspondence about the writing on this site is welcome. Please read the notes below before sending, so your message reaches the right place.

How to reach us

Write to editor@arvenstone.com. Messages are read by the people who write the index. We answer in the order things arrive, usually within a few working days, and sometimes more slowly during quiet periods.

What we can help with

• Corrections — a factual error in an entry, an out-of-date detail, or a property that has changed materially since we wrote about it.
• Suggestions — a hotel you think belongs in one of the four chapters, and why.
• Editorial questions — how entries are chosen, how the chapters are defined, how something was researched.
• Permissions — requests to quote or reference the writing published here.

What we cannot help with

We cannot make, change, confirm or cancel a reservation, and we have no access to any hotel's booking system, rates or availability. We are not connected to the properties described in the index and cannot pass messages to them. For anything to do with an actual stay, contact the hotel or your booking provider directly.

We also do not accept paid placements, sponsored entries, link exchanges or guest posts, and messages offering them are not answered.

If you include personal details

Send only what your message needs. We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful and no longer, and we do not add senders to any mailing list. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
