Write to us if you know a hotel that was designed around an absence and is not on this guide yet. That is the message we most want to receive, and it is the one most likely to change what is published here.

Write to us also if we have named the wrong absence. It happens: a building is remembered for one thing and designed around another. If you have a factual correction of any kind, send it with the source you read it in, and we will check it against ours.

If you work at one of the eighteen hotels, or speak for it, a word from you is welcome and will be read as such. We do not charge for corrections and we do not charge for entries.

We do not take bookings, we do not hold reservations, and we do not pass enquiries on to any hotel. If you want a room, contact the hotel directly.
