This notice explains what arvenstone.com does with personal data. It is written in the spirit of the General Data Protection Regulation and applies wherever you read the site from.

Who is responsible

What the form collects

The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a subject chosen from a list, a message and your agreement to be answered. Nothing else is asked for, and you should not send us information you would not want kept in an email account.

Why, and on what basis

We use those details for one purpose: to read your message and reply to it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering correspondence, and your consent where you have given it by ticking the box. We do not build profiles, we do not sell data and we do not send marketing.

How long it is kept

Correspondence is kept while the matter is open and for up to twenty-four months afterwards, so that a correction can be traced back to whoever sent it. After that it is deleted.

Server logs

Our host records ordinary technical logs when a page is served: an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested, the referrer and the browser string. These are used for security and for keeping the site running, and are held for a short period before deletion.

No tracking of any kind

This site runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no third-party cookies. It sets no cookies of its own. It stores nothing in your browser: there is no local storage and no session storage in use. The site loads exactly one script, and that script opens and closes the navigation menu. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts that service to fetch them.

Processors and hosting

The site is served by a hosting provider and email reaches us through an email provider. Both act on our instructions under a data processing agreement, and neither uses your data for its own purposes.

Transfers

Where a processor operates outside your own country, transfers are made under standard contractual clauses or an equivalent lawful mechanism.

Your rights

You may ask for access to your data, correction of it, erasure, restriction of processing or a copy in portable form, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to [Email] and we will answer.

Complaints

You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work, whichever country that is, and you may do so without contacting us first.
